Whatsapp - R15000 data statement !!!

<p>For the past 17 years ive been at MTN and had an open contract of R415 per month. In March this year i received an account of R15000 (R15k) for data usage, and when we inspected the data usage on the phone, Whatsapp used 8.26Gb in two weeks time. MTN just said that they cannot do anything. </p> <p>I settled the account then paid a cancellation fee to get out of the contract.</p> <p> </p> <p>I feel someone must be able to expain or reverse the charge as i dont even have 8Gb data (foto's / video's) on my phone.</p> <p> </p> <p>Can anybody give me advice on this matter or tell me if there is anyway i can recoup some of the expenses?</p> <p> </p> <p>Thank you </p>
