WhatsApp Chicanery! --They are not to be trusted!

WhatsApp put out propaganda about a new feature for communication with businesses that would require user consent or else the user's account would be terminated.

I never received any notice or request of consent. However, my account kept on functioning as normal after the deadlines. So I wrote to WhatsApp asking about my account status and the fact that I never received any request to accept the new conditions. They instructed me how I could receive a report of my account via the app. [On the mobile app, go to Settings/Account/Request account info.]

So I did the steps and requested the info. When the information came, it said that I had indeed accepted the new terms on a certain date at 3:46 am. At that time of the morning, I was sound asleep and my phone was on "Do not disturb."

It is impossible that I actually accepted! They automatically registered my so-called acceptance without my knowledge of it happening!

This is completely *********!!!

I have no respect for WhatsApp and anything they say. They are sold-out to Facebook and I don't even trust that they are actually encrypting messages. If they are so ********* and ************* with a policy acceptance, then I cannot trust anything they say or claim. Period!

Please take note of this and be warned!

I am switching to Signal, which is recommended by Edward Snowden and many other security experts.
