Westbank Debit Oder date change threat
Bought a car through Westbank Finance in May 2023 and I have been paying installment monthly without fail.
Today 6 December 2023 I get an email that states: You agree and accept that only the payment authorization and collection date will be changed, as indicated below.
There's a statement which says: This is your payment authorization to your bank to make payment as stated below by debiting your bank account. This payment authorization allows us to use various types of debit orders. If you do not accept the A Division of FirstRand Bank Limited, Registered Bank, Reg. No. ***. An Authorized and Registered Credit and Financial Services Provider. Reg.No. NCRCP20 SP_RLET118 DebiCheck debit order when your bank sends it to you, we can still use the other debit order types available to us and it does not cancel the payment authorization or the credit agreement. If you reject the DebiCheck debit order, we may elect to cancel this credit agreement.
This changes my debit order date to 5 December? This is yesterday and I have not been paid for December.
I feel I am being treated like someone who has not honored my debit order commitment and that is not true.
I tried to call customer care ***I waited until I gave up.
