Bad
I was under debt review and I got retrenched while I was close to complete the account. The outstanding amount was supposed to be paid via the insurance I had with DebtBuster. The debt is now written off, and I can't get the car certificate. They say I must send pictures of the car to give me an offer for the papers. It's my first time hearing such, as I am now in a position to pay my outstanding balance to clear my name.

WesBank's Incompetence and Disregard for Customers' Time
I submitted a request on 28 July to change my debit order banking details. It is now October, and WesBank has still failed to resolve this straightforward request. Instead of providing clear requirements upfront, they keep moving the goalposts and demanding more documents. Now they want a stamped ABSA bank confirmation letter, despite me already obtaining one through the banking app. How can a financial institution operate this way? I am tired of wasting my time dealing with a company that makes a simple administrative change unnecessarily difficult. WesBank's service is unacceptable, the delays are inexcusable, and the lack of accountability is frustrating. I expect this matter to be resolved immediately, not another round of excuses and additional demands.

Wesbank
NO. I would NOT recommend WesBank. After 13 years of fighting a R690,303.27 dispute, they only responded when I posted here. They are demanding money without proof of SMS, voice recordings, or settlement letter. They claim insurance did not pay, but also claim insurance paid. They cannot explain how my vehicle was **********ly re-registered in 2015. I have escalated to NCR and Information Regulator. I will update this review if WesBank pays the damages and provides proof by 28 October 2026. Until then: Avoid.

I would rather walk then finance a vehicle with Wesbank
As an FNB client I thought applying for finance through wesbank would be easy right ? Wrong weeks go by without any response ? Call the contact center staff act like they doing me a favour. Countless emails no response. Laid a complaint no response. Email the complaints department no response. Ill take my business somewhere else.

Bad service
regarding the manner in which WesBank is handling my vehicle finance ***. I am extremely disappointed by the conduct of your representatives, who sent an agent to my home with the intention of taking my vehicle without any prior written notification or *** informing me of this action. I had already requested an opportunity to sell the vehicle and settle the outstanding balance. My intention is to resolve this matter responsibly and fulfil my financial obligations. However, instead of receiving proper communication and assistance, I have been met with what I consider to be aggressive and intimidating conduct. I find this treatment unacceptable. I believe that all recovery action should be handled professionally, transparently, and in accordance with the applicable laws and legal procedures in South Africa. I therefore request a written explanation of the legal basis for sending an agent to my home, copies of any notices or legal documents relating to the repossession attempt, and an urgent response to my request to sell the vehicle and settle the outstanding balance. I also request that this matter be escalated to a senior complaints manager for investigation and that all further communication regarding my *** be conducted professionally and in writing. Please provide me with a formal complaint *** and confirm receipt of this complaint. I am willing to engage with WesBank to reach a reasonable resolution, but I expect my rights to be respected and the correct procedures to be followed. I look forward to your urgent written

Wesbank
No. My complaint *** has been open for 13 years. WesBank gave LegalWise and myself 2 different answers about an insurance payout. They missed their own 5-day response deadline and my PAIA request is 30+ days overdue. I had to escalate to NCR and Information Regulator to get attention. I cannot recommend WesBank until this is resolved fairly.

Very Disappointed 😡😡😡 I want this matter to be Sorted and I am not done until it's resolved
am very disappointed by Wesbank Auction Center they forcing me to take the vehicle with Gearbox Issue that was picked up on collection day and it was not part of the defects that was listed upon sale, I feel like they just ******** people because first you are not allowed to Test Drive before purchasing the vehicle. I think they just list wear and tear defects only but not major problems like engine Problems or Gearbox issues because they know very well that they are too expensive. I bought the vehicle from them and picked up that the vehicle have Gearbox problem and when I wanted to return the vehicle they said I should send the report with the quote via *** for me to get help and I've done that but they still rejected my complaint telling me that they've got nothing to do with the Gearbox Issue that was not disclosed and they can not disclose something that they did not pick up and there's no way you can not pick up that Gearbox sound on the vehicle we bought because while their driver was driving the vehicle to us we heard the sound and asked the driver what was the sound for but he said he doesn't know and when we approached Carl Steenveld (Sales Manager) explaining how we pick up the sound on the vehicle, his response was he's just a driver and not mechanic and his driver wouldn't know if that was a Gearbox sound or not and advised us to send him an *** just for him to Reject our Concern and Forcing us to take the vehicle with Gearbox problem that's costing about R100k to be repaired. The vehicle was wrongly advertised and not all the defects was disclosed on the advert and for that i will fight this matter until this matter is resolved Accordingly 😡😡😡 because it's their responsibility to inspect the vehicle properly and list all the defects so that no other client falls in to trab like mine and if all the defects was honestly listed we wouldn't be here and this is not the first time they advertise vehicles with wrong information last time i bought a Polo Vivo that was described as a Comfortline while it was a Trendline i decided to keep the vehicle becauseit was not a deal breaker for us but this one we will not allow it Wesbank Auction Needs to start taking accountability for their wrong doings. I've been a Wesbank client for too long but I've lost interest and trust and I will not recommend them to anyone going forward 😡😡😡
