Wesbank's *****ulent activities

Approximately one month ago, I received an email from Wesbank requesting proof of insurance. I promptly comp**** and emailed the required documentation to the inbox address provided. Today, I discovered that my account has been debited by more than R1200 without any explanation or justification. I have received no confirmation that my insurance coverage is active, nor have I been informed of what (if anything) this payment covers. It appears that funds have been withdrawn from my account without my consent or any valid reason. When I attempted to resolve this matter, I contacted your call centre multiple times. After waiting on hold for over an hour, the agent I finally spoke to was rude and abruptly hung up on me before I managed to get a sentence out. This experience raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of these charges and suggests unauthorised access to my banking details. I view this as unacceptable and *****ulent behaviour. I demand: An immediate full refund of the R1200+ that was debited from my account. A detailed explanation of the charges, including confirmation of what coverage (if any) is in place. Written assurance that no further debits will occur without my explicit authorisation. Please treat this matter with the utmost urgency. I reserve the right to escalate this to the relevant regulatory authorities, including the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and the Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance, should this not be resolved promptly and satisfactorily.
