WesBank's degrading service

West Bank consultants have no empathy towards long standing clients at all. Being a self employed man living hand to mouth Covid and the lockdown hasn't been very kind, however we keep fighting and pushing on to overcome the effects. I have a Car financed by Wesbank, end of last year went into arrears which I have not sorted out yet but I have been paying my installments with an extra R800 on my normal installment. I have been a bit late some months to pay but have never skipped a payment since, my income has no specific date when I get it but I pay from other sources if delayed. Speaking to a consultant Hilda who is plain rude, no empathy whatsoever. I am struggling to pay for a car which helps me do some work and feed my family. Been paying for years except last year when I defaulted, I have continued paying but I get harassed, threatened, shouted at and pushed to surrender the car voluntarily or else. Why should we be reduced to this and shamed just because we have defaulted on payments, the bank is supposed to help and I understand that they probably make more money from selling the repossessed cars but they need to take care of their clients better who are going through this situation.
