Wesbank unfair
I have a Wesbank judgement that i was unaware of, and have started receiving calls for payment.<br> <br> In 2007 I bought a brand new Ford Ranger cant remember the price but a new one today cost about R 189,000.00 incl VAT for a standard. The vehicle was repossessed in 2008 after i was retrenched and was auctioned. Now i see that the judgement was then out in 2009 for a staggering R 135,086.00, meaning my one year old vehicle was sold for R 54,900.00. The guy who collected the car made notes to try and sell the car close to the value owed.<br> <br> I have two questions, does the bank not set a reserve on the vehicles and who regulates it. A brand new vehicle sold for a *****, you cant even buy that vehicle today for R 54,900.00 second hand, Gumtree has a 2007 Ford Ranger 2.5 l same as the one i had, selling for R 119,000.00. I could have rather sold the vehicle myself through an agent and receive a better price.<br> <br> Please see if you can assist me with this figure, i lost my house and everything when i was retrenched and have nothing, and im still struggling to get on my feet.

We have attempted calling you, however to no avail. An e-mail was subsequently sent. The vehicles retail price, as well as the condition of the vehicle is taken into account when selling the vehicle at the auction. Ultimately, the sale goes to the highest bidder and in this case the vehicle was valued at R110 000.00 and sold for R115 000.00, NOT R54 900 as stated above. The judgement amount includes all legal actions taken by our attorneys as well.
