Wesbank Settlement Notice Expires, since when????????
I want a settlement amount on my account without any penalty interest charged. This can be done as per my contract by giving the bank 3 months notice. I gave them notice in Feb already. I tried getting such letter today, but they now say my notice has expired and i need to give 3 months notice again. My contract states: "a charge equal to no more than the interest that would have been payable under the Agreement for a period equal to the difference between 3 (three) months and the period of the notice of settlement if any, that was given by you." Nowhere does it state that the notice can expire. So they are playing the cards in their favour. So I must give them 3 months notice and settle the vehicle on that exact day, or else it starts all over again. I spoke to a supervisor Jenna Pypers that said that is the way it is. Wesbank is ****** ****** man!!! Hopefully I get a better response through this complaint, otherwise I will take this to the Ombudsman.
