Wesbank - Passing the buck

I have been a loyal client of wesbank for over 10 years. I now have a situation in which my car was deregistered in error by an insurance company (Momentum). I am not a client of momentum at all yet my car's details were divulged and thus deregistered. Its been five months since this incident and I have requested wesbank to reimburse me for the time I was unable to use my car. They take no blame for the incident and rather passes the buck to Momentum. I am a client of wesbank, not momentum. Wesbank should reimburse me in full and claim that back from momentum. I, the client is held hostage here between momentum and wesbank. This should not be the case at all. Get your act together now and note that perhaps loyalty means nothing these days. Time for a new finance house to receive my business.

Hello FHDV,

Thank you for sharing your frustration relating to your recent experience with us.

It is unfortunate that Momentum had given an instruction to WesBank to deregister your vehicle in erroneously. Our agent should have been more observant before processing the request and for this we apologise sincerely. We have been in contact with you and assure you that WesBank has gone to great lengths to ensure that the vehicle was re-registered back into your name. We believe that Momentum has provided you with a courtesy vehicle in the interim. Measurements have since been put in place to prevent future re-occurrences.

Kind regards

WesBank
