Wesbank or their attorneys failed to provide an updated statement of account without any attorneys fees on it.
When I fell pregnant and were on pregnancy leave I fell behind with my car's monthly installments while I was also under debt review. Wesbank's collection people wanted to take the car back, instead I offered to increase my monthly installments to bring the arrears up to date, which they refused. They issued a summons with an arrear amount of only plus minus R12 500.00. My attorneys wrote their attorneys Hack Stupel & Ross a request to increase the installments, to which to date, according to my knowledge, they did not even responded to, but app**** for summary judgment. My new employer requested figures to distinguish the debt so that I cannot loose my vehicle. My employer was given a total of plus minus R28 000.00, which was paid on my behalf. Three of four days after I have received the first summons from Hack Stupel & Ross, I was issued with a second summons. My attorneys tried to sort out the matter with the attorneys and after a while, my attorneys received notice of withdrawal from the attorneys of both matter in which they stated that each party will bear their own costs. However I was provided with a detailed statement of account whereon it clearly stated attorneys fees were charged to my account. Up until today, I was not given a correct invoice without attorneys fees added to my account even though the matter was brought under the attorneys attention as well as their client, Wesbank. How will I get the attorneys fees taken off my account or must I approach the Law Society of the Northern Provinces as well to take this matter up with them. Your help will be appreciated.
