WESBANK NOT ALLOCATING PAYMENTS
1. In 2017 we bought a Ford Range registration number HXD242EC. 2. Due to covid we fell into arrears with the payments. 3. We were issued with a combined summons dated the 03rd of July 2022. 4. We made several payments prior to the combined summons. 5. 27/04/2022 R10000.00 6. 06/05/2022 R10000.00 7. 05/06/2022 R10000.00 8. 03/08/2022 R5000.00. 9. They allocated the payment of the 03/08/2022, but not the R30 000.00 which we paid to the same account as the payment of 03/08/2022 10. After we received the combined summons, we were informed that the vehicle will be impounded. 11. Due to the above-mentioned fact we decided to sell the vehicle. 12. We were charged R12219.88 for legal fees. (I am still awaiting the invoices which I requested from Manilal Brewis Attorneys) 13. The refund from Wesbank was R24641.77. 14. Wesbank did not allocate the payments made. The latter was not our mistake. 15. We were forced to sell the vehicle due to Wesbank not allocating the payments made. 16. We were emotionally and physically stressed during this process. 17. It took Wesbank more than 2 months to process the refund. 18. If we did not make the mistake, my question is why did we have to pay such enormous legal fees?
