Wesbank is financially to under debt review customers
In 2016 I went for debt review because I was struggling to pay my debts. Wesbank accepted the debt review. I decided to change the debt counsellor because I was not happy with her handling other accounts. Wesbank did not want to cooperate with the new debt counsellor.
In October last year 2017, I was sent a letter stating that I'm in arrears with the amount of R5760 plus legal fees. According to the letter 'the debt review has been terminated since 60 days has lapsed without a court order'. If I don't pay the money the car will be repossessed. I contacted them asking to arrange the payment and I was told that no arrangement will be made I must pay all the amounts or the car will be repossessed. The following month I paid all the amounts required including legal fees. In December after settling all the amounts I received a statement with another legal fees of R4000 and I don't know how did I incurred them and I guess its a punishment to be on debt review.
In addition, my normal installments before debt review was R2570. Because I was on debt review with them, the monthly installment has escalated to R3300 per month and they have extended the credit terms by 3 years.
Because they have already taken the legal action against me and terminated the account from debt review, why they don't restructure the account and pay the original installment.
I can no longer afford R3300 for 102 months, instead of R2570 for 72 months. Because it all does not make sense, than I contacted them because I am now considering to sell the car, I've been moved from one person to another. Your monthly installments has increased *******ly, I want to end this credit agreement. Please allow me to sell the car because you are financially abusiving me now. Allow me to sell the car.
