Wesbank is a no show
App**** for leisure finance online - spent easily over an hour, with multiple consultants and NO answer on the status of this application (which was done over a week and a half ago), consultants keep putting me through to leisure finance, the more I tell them the department doesn't answer the calls they just ignore and put me through anyway because they have no other way to help me around this problem (not really their fault if they weren't trained to assist with this matter)...... which indicates to me that there is some serious staff training and even managerial improvements to be made, who's running this ship?????
What I've learnt in my interactions with Wesbank this week: 1. Applying for finance is impossible but this is not a bad thing, it's a very good sign that this company should not be trusted with any of my or YOUR money related matters and in my opinion if you are a prospective customer looking for service and you're not getting any, you're dodging a bullet here.... Imagine having an account or contract in place with this company and not being able to walk away from bad service like this so easily. 2. I will not do business with Wesbank in future, how can one trust a company that does not have its affairs in order. 3. I will not be pursuing the results of this application any longer, I do not wish to do business with this company anymore. 4. Although one is able to reach a consultant it does not mean your issue will be resolved, I probably spoke to 4-5 consultants today, not one of them could provide me with an answer regarding my finance application, one consultant did however offer to check my ID to see if she could see it.... she then continued to put me through to leisure finance which to me could indicate that the application hasn't even be touched yet on their side, just an assumption of course, but based on the no show from leisure finance in answering their calls, I'm pretty sure the assumption is spot on and well deserved. 5. Don't think Wesbank has a leisure finance department, if they do, I'd love to speak to at least one person there as proof, cause to date, I've had no answered calls from them or received a call from them as the application summary page stated after all information was submitted (PS. Wesbank, the leisure finance number on that page is incorrect, please do some house keeping on your web pages). 6. I was bounced around between customer care to corporate, from corporate to accounts from accounts to the online application form. Multiple unanswered calls to leisure finance a couple of days after the application (I just gave up) I chose to call customer care hoping they could rather help, customer care to corporate, corporate back to customer care, customer care to leisure finance (with a new number for leisure finance, at this point I already have two numbers for leisure finance), leisure finance does not answer so I call customer care again, I tell them not to put me through to leisure finance because they don't answer, they ask me to recite the number I'm using, I recite both, they tell me no, it should be another number, they provide it and put me through to leisure finance, I now have 3 leisure finance numbers, leisure finance doesn't answer, i call customer service again, customer service asks for my ID, I Provide, they refer me back to leisure finance, leisure finance doesn't answer again. Sounds to me like staff training is in order and also a proper business process flow model should be put in place (what are the support desk managers doing at Wesbank????). Some of the consultants truly had a great attitude and I do not blame them for the breakdown in other areas within Wesbank (such as leisure finance department not coming to the party and instead probably having a tea party somewhere else other than by their telephones), TRAIN UP these individuals and give them the tools and knowledge to help the customers (share the workload if resourcing is a problem) and Wesbank would already have much less negativity thrown at it. You'd think some triage scripts would have been put in place to deal with these queries to avoid the customer's time and airtime being wasted due to being bounced around from one department to another, because I am VERY sure, BASIC questions such as mine are asked VERY often and I don't understand how I have to be referred back and forth between different people, the consultants should know how to deal with these common queries... again, where is the support desk manager and how can this person possibly go home feeling comfortable with this customer service output? It would appear the customer service environment is hanging by a thread, and Wesbank, I'm sorry to say, if you don't have happy customers, you won't have a very happy business.
it has been a very long time since I have been so infuriated by poor performance of a company and I have massive amounts of patience during these processes because Ican only imagine how tough the customer service arena can be, it's very difficult to keep everyone happy, but boy oh boy Wesbank isn't even trying it would seem.
