Wesbank *******ly increased the Car's instalment by incepting an unconsented policy. Total rip-off
WesBank, a division of FRB is trying to rip us the little money we are making. My wife received an email on the 9th February 2022 stating that there is no record of the Car Insurance on their system. Amazingly we bought the car in 2017, so 5 years after the purchase they no longer have record of insurance.
We sent them Insurance Documents on the same date and a confirmation email indicating receipt and update of Insurance details was sent to us.
After that a nightmare begins, in the late hours of the 10th February 2022, we received another email with Policy Documents incepted by Wesbank. The Policy is reportedly administered by Hollard. My wife never took any policy relating to the financed vehicle through Hollard. Therefore no consent was received by Wesbank to join policies on our behalf. Furthermore, we received a letter from Wesbank that my wife's car installment will increase by a whooping R388.00.
Wesbank you must note that you are not acting in good faith, activating a policy for a client without their consent is *******. Amazingly the policy was activated on the 10th February 2022, the same date that we received confirmation email that the car insurance details have been updated.
We are very aware that you are trying to increase this installment because we are about to finish paying up the car.
Wesbank need to rectify this as soon as possible. We are not going to pay for a policy we did not give consent to. It would be understandable if the car had no insurance. Please cancel your money ******** policy from my wife's profile as soon as possible. We will not pay this extra R388.00 because the car is comprehensively insured and you have records of that.
