Wesbank Graduate Finance -for No credit score - NOT TRUE
Wesbank offers Graduate Finance for graduates who do not have a credit score. All that is needed according to their advert is the employment contract. My son through a dealership app**** for car finance, the application was declined, "credit score", i subsequently phoned Wesbank to ask them why it was declined, spoke to the headoffice, unfortunately did not get the ladies name, she said that she would refer this to one of the consultants, as they need to motivate as graduate finance, the consultant would request a pre-qualification, Clement Setshedi, requested that we undertake an online application and then send the reference number, we had to resubmit all the documents, this was on the 7th September, which we duly did. On the 16th September, i contacted Clement to find out what is going on with the application, he indicated that there was no offer to purchase, I told him that headoffice had said that the request was a pre-qualification, he said he does not deal with that, as this transaction was a dealer application, I then asked why he had not bothered to advise us on the 7th then, he said he emailed the region, and gave me some name, and said to call another number, i then called said number waited over 10 mins on the line, whereby a consultant said there was no such person working there, i asked her could she check on the system what is happening to the deal, she told me she could not and referred me back to the Area manager of the dealership, I explained to her, that the dealership was just as useless, and all we wanted was the graduate finance prequalification as then we would put in an offer to purchase at another dealer, she said I should phone Clement back, by this time, I had had enough, and hence why this complaint on this forum. Why does Wesbank have a Graduate Finance for no credit score, if the deals are not bein approved because of no credit score, how is the youth going to get a vehicle on their own, if no credit score is a decline reason, the only way the youth can obtain a credit score is by being financed, but unfortunately no one wants to finance, the deal itself is a special of R2000 per month payment including insurance, and yet this is still deemed a risk? I am very disappointed in Wesbank service, the first experience for my son to purchase his very own car, has left a bitter taste in his mouth, as a graduate with honors, a new job, and he needs a car, this has not been a positive experience. I feel for the youth who do not know better and would just accept the service thinking this is the norm, which it is not.
