WesBank forcing clients to pay for insurance twice because of their inability to do their job.

I am absolutely disgusted, yet again! I cannot believe the audacity of WesBank to charge me for vehicle insurance after I have made every attempt to get in contact with then and after I have actually provided the proof of the insurance they were asking for.

I received a mail from them informing me that they have unsuccessfully been trying to reach me to get proof of vehicle insurance for my WesBank financed vehicle and in the mail I was given an ultimatum of 30 days to provide proof. This was the first contact I received from them, but I followed up promptly on the email and tried to 1. contact the number provided - no answer (of course!) 2. to visit the site - server error (no jokes!) and 3. to email as per address provided, no response.

I was then actually contacted by one of their agents, and here I have to say, her service was amazing. She was thorough and precise and guided me on where to send the proof of insurance, which I immediately did! Handled...you would think so! However, today I received a mail informing me that they have not received proof and will be charging me for insurance.

To me this feels they are exploiting people and I am truly disgusted. To do something like this in this economy right before the festive season, feels like a crime to me!
