Wesbank financially crippling a pensioner

From Wesbank a debit order was incorrectly debited from my father's account towards his previous vehicle (Honda Civic V8).

This outstanding balance on this vehicle was settled end of March and still a payment was deducted. Today he went to FNB to reverse this transaction and they advised that they can not assist with reversals anymore and that he needs to contact Wesbank directly.

While at the bank they transferred him to Wesbank and he spoke to a consultant requesting for a reversal to be done. He was advised that all reversals of debit orders will take up to 9 working days to reflect back in his account. This to us is utter nonsense as it was an error from Westbank side.

He is a pensioner and cannot afford any discrepancies on his account. Please also ensure that you contact him directly to advise on when he can expect he is payment.
