Wesbank deceased motor vehicle owner

Good day,

I am hoping you could assist us. My aunt passed on in July last year. She held a motor vehicle loan for Polo (2012) with Wesbank. Following her passing, we found out from Wesbank that the vehicle had no life insurance etc. So, her daughter, who has the letter of authority, submitted all the required documents and continued to pay the monthly instalments, including insurance.

Now they want to repossess the car and sell it at an auction as they say the period has lapsed for the vehicle to be changed over to her name. But they never pushed for any of this throughout the year, now my cousin's instalments will all be lost over to Wesbank, while they sell the car at an auction. They have said the other option is for us to pay the remaining balance in cash (approx. R120 000) for the car to remain in the family.

Is there any help we can get with regards to this? I mean, the car is being paid for and covered with comprehensive insurance.
