WesBank customer service is a JOKE!
My wife died on the 4 January 2021. As the executor of her estate, I gave an attorney the mandate to claim against her insurance so that her 2011 Mini One's debt is settled. After failing in his duties, I give my daughter, Bianca, proxy to do the same. We eventually had to pay R21 000 in arrear fees to settle the debt. From 2021 we were given the run-around to get the title deed of the car. She write numerous emails and made a lot of phone calls. The staff at FNB suggested that she phoned from the branch to head-office. After that did not work, they said the only alternative is to phone from a Wesbank branch that is in Cape Town more than 120 km from Worcester where we stay. Now, after more than two years still no title deed. This is the bank with the worst customer service that I ever had encountered. I am definitely not recommend anyone to finance their vehicles through Wesbank. I wanted to sell the car when I had the title-deed so I lost at least R40 000 already on the sale price. Needless to say, we also incurred a lot of cost in this two years. It is ridiculous that we had to drive to Cape Town to phone head office out of their branch as if it has special ringtone phoning from there. This is my last effort before involving the Ombudsman and ask for compensation for all the cost and losses I have incurred.
