Wesbank calculates interest based on theoretical balance.
Wesbank has been terrible to me. I took up vehicle finance in 2020 with a balloon payment. I started to make extra payments when I had extra cash, app**** for a capital reduction about eleven times until such time I was only left with the balloon payment. Wesbank decided to charge interest that is higher than the installment resulting in my outstanding balance to go up every month. When I enquired what did they base their interest on they said they calculated interest based on theoretical balance. They are ******. I tried to reach out to them and they showed me a middle finger. The matter is with the Ombudsman now but I do not have hope that I will get justice.
