WESBANK ACCOUNT NO: ***

After applying for car finance on the 5th of April 2017 at a Dealership in Benoni, I discovered that Iam blacklisted by Wesbank as a bad debt written off, and the car still appears under asset collection of Wesbank as if the car was written off. I immediately got in contact with Wesbank and was referred to Ms Joyce Zwane who also mentioned to me that the bad debt tag will not be removed on their Wesbank system and all my future applications will be adversely affect me. Is this legal? I feel that my consumer rights are voilated, whereas the debt was settled in 2013 before the vehicle was handed over for legal repossesion. I got my natis papers in May 2013.

I further escalated this matter to a lady named Maria ( ********** ) , had a lengthy telephone conversation with on the 8th of April and she promised to send a written explanation of what Joyce Zwane had written " adversely affect" up to today when the debt was fully settled back in 2013. Maria has failed to send an email as promised.

Can someone at Wesbank explain the legality of Joyce Zwane statement and also explain to me how does this affect me with any credit product within the First Rand Group. Its as if I have a pending default judgement, it doesnt matter what my scoring is, as Iam adversely affect indefinately per Ms Joyce Zwane/First Rand Group.
