WesBank
Wesbank has the be the WORST bank ever. At the beginning of last year, I went to renew the licence on my car, which I did. My Sister had a car, which, unfortunately was still in my name and had burnt out completely on the 31st December 2020. This car licence was also due for renewal but I wanted to get this car written off as it was and is a write off. I was told that Wesbank was the Title holder and that I will have to get the car in my name first. So, I went to Wesbank and they “very kindly” said they would do it all so as to make it easier for the customers with all the problems going on right now. They said I must pay (it may have been R300 then) which I did the exact same day and sent them a mail with my proof of payment. Then they came back to me to say that I have to pay in order for them to go ahead to change the Title Holder of the car. AGAIN, I sent them proof of payment. I kept getting emails until I got through to them what I needed and that I had paid for them to do it and they then came back to say they cannot do it as the licence has expired. If they had done what they said they were going to do from the start it would not have expired. Now a year later, my car licence has been up for renewal and I have not been able to renew it as this BURNT out car’s licence from last year is outstanding. And guess what, Wesbank sent the SAME mail as they sent the first time (after I had spoken to them on the phone from their offices in Newton Park) and told to pay for them to get the car in my name.
