Waste my time and make me run around for nothing!

App**** for finance for a bicycle. 31/08/2015 - App**** through Finyou. docs sent. 01/09-approved in principle. 03/09-SMS received that declined. Enquired and told a mistake?! 03/09-certified ID needed. I send. 03/09-Banele calls and does app. Installments discussed and i choose one. 03/09 - Banele emails me document to sign. 04/09-Document signed and sent back to Banele. Asked Banele when i could take delivery, she never bothers to reply. I wait patiently for a reply with excitement. 07/09-Want a new certified. Off to police station and send again! Again i wait patiently. 09/09-Get sms that app declined!!! Email Banele, tells me it was a mistake again!! 10/09 - FNB Consultant by name of Peter calls my fiance to confirm bank details. My fiance and I bank in same bank account. Letter from bank confirms this. My salary deposits confirm this. The power of attorney confirms this. Peter tells my fiance he must confirm to finalise loan to make payment. Get sms today -declined!! Why am i able to buy a house, car etc with joint account but FNB messes me around for a bicycle??And now lost discount on bicycle as FNB took long and wasted my time! Could have approached elsewhere!!!!!

(Supplier name changed fro First National Bank to Wesbank by Hellopeter.com)

Hello DAPret,

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention and affording us the opportunity to address same.

As a service driven organisation, WesBank goes to great lengths to render unsurpassed service excellence to all our valued customers with every interaction. It is therefore extremely disappointing when our actions have caused you to question the Bank's integrity.

The success of any preliminary application is based on the information that is available at the time however as prescribed by the National Credit Act (NCA), the credit provider must exercise due diligence to validate the prospective undertaking as well as ensuring the soundness of the possible extension. This means that it is possible to initially receive a provisional approval that is later declined if the finance criterion is not met. WesBank, who administer the finance of movable assets for the FirstRand Banking group, only received the application on Saturday 29 August 2015 and advised the respective parties at First National Bank on Monday 31 August 2015. We humbly apologise if there was any miscommunication or misinformation in terms of how this may have been relayed to you.

Regards,

WesBank
