Waiting for confirmation

I am currently looking to purchase a motorbike. I signed an iContract with Wesbank on Friday 15th and cancelled the finance application via e-mail the next day, as it turned out the bike I wanted to buy was salvaged and rebuilt, despite this not being disclosed by the dealer. I am currently awaiting confirmation from Wesbank that the transaction is in fact cancelled and that I can proceed to look for a different vehicle.

Having read about the terrible experiences others have gone through after finding that vehicles were previously damaged without it being disclosed, I thought I would post this review as I am yet to receive confirmation from Wesbank so that I can contact the dealer and inform them that the transaction was now effectively cancelled.

I called Wesbank yesterday and the agent advised that he would check for the email we sent (date & time supp****), but so far have not had any feedback.

This review will serve as additional record going forward, that we did cancel the transaction the next day after signing. So if it now happens that the transaction is processed and specifically delayed, all the communications will refer.

I need to follow up the communication with the dealer and also continue my search, but at the moment my hands are tied until I hear from you. Please confirm cancellation ASAP, after which I will update my review as I am otherwise very happy with your services and been a long standing client.

Dear Patience,

Thank you for the call and confirming that you have paid and have to recover your funds from the dealer. Also thank you for escalating the matter. We will await further feedback on this matter, which should be quite simple to deal with considering that the vehicle was salvaged and rebuilt, despite this not being conspicuously disclosed (or even verbally for that matter), and sold to us as the same price as a vehicle with a clean title. We were even told that the vehicle was not in accident, even though I found the evidence after my wife signed the contract. This is why we immediately sent the cancellation email to ***

I am hoping that this matter is resolved very soon due to the ******** nature and how my rights as a consumer was violated by the dealership. My ultimate wish is that Wesbank now proves that it does not tolerate such ********** behavior, by prioritizing and addressing this matter with the required sense of urgency.

Thank you once again. I am awaiting Lloyd's call, as per your advice.

We now received an email from WesBank stating:

" Please contact the dealer in order to cancel the contract."

Even though the instruction is clear, it has already been done on Monday the 18th. We called the dealership again now to confirm and subsequently received feedback from the salesperson that "Everything was cancelled on their side."

There is still a great deal of ambiguity due to the limited response received from WesBank.

Could you please confirm if I can go ahead and start a new transaction now?

Thank you
Louis
