Unwillingness of assistance
I bought a second hand vehicle through Wesbank Private Finance in August 2017. One month later, after I had various problems with the vehicle, the engine broke down, I took the vehicle to a Mechanic to which I was told that the engine would need replacement since the damage that was done could not be fixed. I contacted Wesbank and advised them of what happened. They advised that an internal investigation would be started. With no communication from the bank of any progress update, I had to call once weekly to find out how far the investigation was. After 11 weeks to my surprise I was advised by Wesbank that the cause of the engine breaking was "natural" due to age and KM reading of the vehicle. 9 years old and 112 000km. I tried to make contact with Wesbank various times since 15 Des 2017 up until 23 Jan 2018, either I could not reach the person that is dealing with my query. I feel this is shocking, if I had bought the vehicle through a dealership, I would have the opportunity to take the vehicle back to the dealership up until 6 MONTHS after I bought the vehicle and Wesbank could help me in absolutely NO WAY. Ridiculous.
