Unsettled account on ****** vehicle

Good day

This is my third complaint against Wesbank. My first was that my vehicle was ****** in November 2012 and while the insurance was investigating the claim they did not stop my debit order until I logged a complaint on Hello Peter in March 2013. I had to pay for a vehicle that was insured for at least 4 months. For the last year I am getting calls from CMD Credit solutions regarding an outstanding account from Wesbank.

In March 2013 I received a mail that MOTORITE - SERVICE PLAN MOTORITE was cancelled effective 18/03/2013
In September 2013 I received a mail that HOLLARD - COVERPLUS MONTHLY was cancelled effective 19/09/2013

NO OTHER communication was received that I need to pay Wesbank any money in any regard.

I received a sms that I was handed over and I need to pay money to MBD Credit Solutions. After a week or so I received a phone call from you that I need to pay money to MBD Credit Solutions and I was handed over by Wesbank. What money is this I need to pay? And what happend to the debit orders Wesbank took for 4 months? Please see previous calls logged with Hello Peter regarding this account! I am sure you have record of it. This needs to be sorted once and for all

Hello willbeheard,

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention and after investigating same, we wish to respond as follows:

Following the payment we received from your insurers, you were informed both telephonically and via email on 15 February 2013 about the shortfall on the account whereafter you advised that you would revert with a proposal for repayment. The correspondence confirmed your liability and how we arrived at same as follows:

CAPITAL BALANCE @ THE DATE OF LOSS R176267.42

LESS PRO RATA FOR THE WARRANTY R7214.38
LESS PRO RATA FOR THE BODYLINE R2826.25

LESS UNDERLYING PAYMENT R122065.00
LESS UNDERLYING EXCESS R9785.00
(TOTAL UNDERLYING EXCESS R15785 AND SHORTFALL PROVIDES
A R6000 EXCESS BENEFIT THEREFORE THE DIFFERENCE IS
DEDUCTED)

LESS PRO RATA FOR THE SERVICE PLAN R12452.92 ADDED
TO THE STATEMENT DATED 28/09/2012

SETTLEMENT TO THE BANK R21923.87

In the absence of forthcoming payment and no positive response, the outstanding shortfall was declassified and referred for external collection.

We believe that the Bank has acted in good faith and is merely enforcing the terms of the under serviced credit Agreement.

Yours faithfully,

WesBank
