Unresponsive WesBank Auction Registration Team – Poor Service Affects Fair Value of Repossessed Cars
The registration process at WesBank Auctions has been extremely disappointing. I’ve tried to get assistance from the registration team — particularly Gladys Phoofolo ***) and Lebogang Headger *** / ***/121/134) — but they do not respond to emails for auction registrations and consistently fail to answer their phones when called.
This lack of responsiveness is not just an inconvenience; it directly undermines the auction process. WesBank is selling repossessed vehicles, and when potential buyers cannot register or receive assistance, it lowers participation in the auctions. The result is fewer bids, which means that cars are often sold below fair market value. That has a direct and negative impact on the individuals whose vehicles have been repossessed — they are already in a vulnerable financial position and are then denied a fair value for their assets because of poor service from the registration team.
For an institution of WesBank’s size and reputation, this is unacceptable. If the auction platform is to be credible and trusted, the registration process must be efficient, transparent, and responsive. At the very least, emails should be acknowledged, and phone lines should be properly manned.
Until these issues are addressed, the WesBank auction process risks losing credibility with both buyers and sellers.
