Unproffessional

Never in my life have I dealt with a more unprofessional bank than Wesbank, and I am sure to never deal with them again!!

I went on unpaid maternity leave and e-mails have been sent between Gopolang Bogopane and I regarding my payments that can be expected to go in arrears due to department of labor that we all know are really slow when it comes to paying our UIF out.

I sent them proof that I have submitted documents to department of labor and that I am awaiting my UIF to pay out. I am back at work and have been paying my installments as normal since May as I cannot bring all my arrears up to date with everyone for 4 months with 1 salary. Funny enough, Nedbank and Direct axis have not been this ridiculous with my arrears.

Firstly - Wesbank handed me over to the legal department. Fair enough. Now I am dealing with a person who posted me a letter that states that he has been phoning me numerous times and I am not answering. He even states in the letter that he left messages. I have not received one single phone call or message from Wesbank. Only been dealing with Gopolang via email. This has also been mentioned to this guy during our phone call today 22 July after I e-mailed him more than a month ago after the letter was received. He admitted that no messages or phone calls were made to me, so the whole letter is a lie.

Secondly – he phoned me to tell me I have 2 choices. Either to hand my car over or I get handed over to a law firm that will cost me an extra R20 000.

He is very rude and does not give me chance to speak. I have been paying my installments for 2 months now and expect to receive my UIF soon as the Labour department notified me that I need to go in and get my documents signed for payment on 8 August.

When I told him this, he said I will not receive enough funds to bring my arrears up to date so he might as well send them to collect my car. Firstly, how does he know what I will receive? Secondly, I am not in arrears by R18 213.00. It is impossible. My last arrear amount was R9414.01 in April and I have been paying since May. How can it move up if my installments are paid? Thirdly, how can you put a future instalment with the arrear amount? It is the amount due, not the arrear amount!!!

Pathetic way to treat a client. I know I am in arrears, but I have made arrangements and I am paying my installments. How can you take my car back if payments are being made?
