********l conduct

Wesbank is the ultimate corporate bullies. They deducted an insurance premuim from my debit order without concent. I have honoured my contract condition but they continued to be arrogant to the situation and did as they please. They do not even understand there own rules and consequently the poor consumer again must carry the burden. As if this conduct is not already bizarre enough, they harrased me with 27 text messages into thr morning hours and over a weekend re their insurance obsession. This is the ultimate act of bullying.

Hello JB12345,

Thank you for raising your concerns with WesBank affording us the opportunity to clarify the purpose of this initiative.

WesBank, in conjunction with Hollard and Direct Axis, embarked on a large scale initiative to request confirmation from our customers that the financed vehicles are still comprehensively insured as a number of customers cancelled their comprehensive cover.

The terms and conditions signed by all customers include the subject of insurance and basically outlines the fact that the vehicle under finance must be comprehensively insured at all times throughout the contract period and that the Bank can request confirmation of this insurance at any time. It also indicates that the customer would have 30 days in which to confirm this cover. By signing the terms and conditions, customers agree that WesBank is entitled to arrange insurance cover as deemed necessary to protect their financial interests

We have contacted you and apologise for the Insurance policy erroneously added to your account. We are in the process of cancelling this policy and will provide you with confirmation once the matter has been finalized.

Yours in service,
WesBank
