*********, unprofessional, unfair!

In 2014 I went into a contract with Wesbank for the purchase of my Audi Q3. Also took out my own comprehensive insurance with Outsurance. In 2015 March, I joined Unilever. As part of the Employee Car scheme at Unilever, I took the option of comprehensive cover and cancelled the Outsurance cover, gave new details of cover to Wesbank - somehow they already picked up I had cancelled Outsurance. In June 2016, I left Unilever, suffering from depression from the passing of my mother. I was unemployed for a period of 5 months. In this period I was not paying for my car and insurance. In November I started working, I notified all my creditors, and started making payments to Wesbank. However, I noticed the arrears were not really decreasing. This time I am already dealing with the collections guy who is ready to take my car. I query the arrears with him, he sends a detailed statement. Then I noticed that Wesbank has in fact included comprehensive cover from April 2015 when I left Outsurance and they claim they never received the confirmation of changes and assumed I had no cover. They ask for proof, I send it to many different people who keep requesting for it. And all I am asking is the reversal of the insurance cover they charged me for 15 months whilst I was covered through Unilever as an employee, including the interest charged. Then they can give me a new figure of my arrears. I have also notified them that I am mostly running workshpos on Monday - Thursday and travelling to these outskirts. I am only available after 4pm. And on Fridays it's an Admin day, they can get in touch anytime after 10am. However, I get missed calls from Wesbank every morning and during the day when I cannot attend to the phone. When they do try to get hold of me after 4pm, I am guessing they are in a rush to get home and they just ring the phone twice and cut...I would appreciate it if this can be verified with their staff because switchboard should be able to give a printout of how long the employee was on the phone. All in all, I am happy to pay the arrears but I need the insurance figures for April 2015 - May 2016 to be deducted first and Wesbank is not budging. They keep telling me about the arrears I owe and threatening to take my car. I am moved from pillar to post and have to resend all info with no resolution.
