********* BEHAVIOR BY WESBANK

It is unfortunate that i have to voice my frustrations on this platform but it looks like its the only channel where big business tend to respond speedily to customers. I took a loan with wesbank cash power loans some time ago in 2019. i have been paying well my monthly obligations to an extent that last year, 2020, i paid an advance of R7000 towards my account in the hope that i would reduce on interests but unfortunately that did not bear fruit. That is a past story, the issue here is on the 10 May 2021 i logged onto my wesbank account and downloaded a settlement letter which i have in my position. The settlement amount was quoted at R7,764. 94 which i had to pay within 5 working days. Sure enough on the 14 May 2021 i paid the R7,764.94 for settlement, plus a debit order of R872,95 was still deducted from my bank account for the month of May. What shocked me was when i logged on my wesbank account services and discovered that the R7,764.94 i deposited on the 14 May 2021 was not captured to settle my account. My account still shows that i have a balance of R5017,28 and with the next installment of R872,95 payable on the 15 June 2021. Now tell me what was the settlement amount and letter for? Do we really have to go the Ombudsman way for such trivial accounting matters? What big business should bear in mind is that we do business with them because we do not have a choice, our country is rife with inequalities so please deal fairly with us. Could wesbank please advice in regard to this matter!
