THE BRICK WALL
In 2009 I owned a Merc C 180 that was financed with Wesbank. The engine exploded and left with no other alternative I surrendered the vehicle to Wesbank in terms of the National Credit Act, who sold it at an auction and then I paid the balance to settle the account. I have now app**** for vehicle finance and it appears that Wesbank has listed me on their system despite the fact that I paid the car. Then also for an amount of R 1045. It appears that exercising your rights in terms as a consumer and complying with the all the requirements of the contract does not satisfy these people. I have been told that this listing remains against my name for ever and that I will never be able to finance a car ever again. I have offered to pay the R 1045 but that apparently will not suffice either. What a joke.
