Terrible and ***** service/communication
I am trying to sell my vehicle privately to a buyer who is trying to use Wesbank to finance it.

What I thought would be a painless sale of a perfectly good 4year old car has turned into a pain in the ass. They deal through Titleguard, who are meant to facilitate the deal. I've sent them all their required docs, and put my vehicle through all their required checks (R1200+ later). The next process, was for the buyer to sign all his docs after meeting with their agent, which happened 'without hitch'.

I then had to go abroad, but thought the deal was done. I get a call from the buyer, that he is being pestered by Wesbank to sign a receipt of vehicle form. At this point, I'm in another country, getting told that he is due my vehicle so he can send them the final document.
Against my better judgement, and only because I half know the buyer, I reluctantly gave him the car thinking that payment would clear in the next few hours.

Days passed and no payment, and I have no vehicle either! I have since found out the agent never submitted the buyers documents. Then why ask him for a receipt of vehicle form?!?!
If I didn't know the buyer, I'd think you were pulling a fast one!!!
Thank you for your concerns highlighted. Titleguard has made payment on
18 December 2015 to MFC and the surplus was paid to your personal bank account. We have sent you an e-mail confirming this.
Kind regards
