Sies Wesbank

So I started with a new employer and have new pay date - I log onto the self-service portal (AND send an email) asking Wesbank to change the date of the debit order. I then get a response (a couple of days later) saying that they don't recognize the email address (yeah - I just told you I have a new employer) and they want chassis numbers and descriptions etc. Bare in mind I logged on via the self-service portal. I get security is important, so not too bothered.

Then I get this email last night;

"Thank you for recent correspondence.

Please take note that the following conditions apply to all due date changes.

• Due dates can only be changed 5 days prior to the current due date.

• Due dates can only be changed 3 times within the contract period and these changes are only permissible every 6 months.

Kindly note, we have escalated your request to the relevant department. Should you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to email us or visit our website. "

What does this even MEAN? Apart from being vague and poorly worded, am I now supposed to let Wesbank know 5 days before the debit order is due END of February? Why not just change it now - you have already deducted your February premium. If I let you know on day 4 - oops, sorry ma'am, you are too late - or if I let you know on day 6 - sorry ne, you are too early?

I am not asking NOT to pay you, nor am I asking for a payment arrangement. I am saying: change the date or the debit order will BOUNCE.

Sies man.
