Shocking service from Wesbank

Since the beginning of Lockdown I have had nothing but poor service from Wesbank. The latest incident has arisen due to them informing me that I am in arrears with monthly instalments.

The biggest issue is that I cannot get them to call me back, because I am sick of waiting on the line for anything up to an hour to talk to anyone, who then only offer to send me my statement. Which I cannot make head or tail of.

My latest reply to an email tops it all as below after a request to answer the following questions: 1. When did my COVID19 debt relief start? 2. When did my COVID19 debt relief end? 3. Why was I not informed about the arrears? 4. If I was, please send me the correspondence. 5. Can somebody please call me to discuss this situation once you have responded in writing to the above questions.

Wesbank reply We thank you for your email.

Kindly be advised that the Covid relief started on the 02/06/2020 and ended on the 02/07/2020.

You may contact our Collections Division on ***or you may email them at *** for further assistance.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for entrusting WesBank with your finances.

Yours in service, Customer Service Centre
