Shame on you, Wesbank

I would like to share how disgusted I am with the service all round from Wesbank Ethan, who I dealt with at the beginning of this process, was useless and a complaint letter was sent about him when the deal was processed. Great start! I lost my job in April and then realised that I was on a fixed interest rate through Wesbank. No one could supply me with a signed contract that I had in fact signed / agreed to this Some lady called me and actually giggled at me when I told her I lost my job and would like proof that I had agreed to the fixed rate, she called me back advising that with lockdown she couldn’t find my voice recording agreeing to the fixed rate, and again laughed at me. I was just left to accept this. I requested a payment holiday ‘loan’ through the FNB App for 3 months (Totaling R 13 500) and was offered a ridiculous loan of R57 000 to pay off over 5 years putting me into even more debt. This was obviously declined. Luckily I have now been able to get the money together to settle my account with Wesbank and what a joke this process has now been. I paid the money over from FNB into the FNB account provided and sent a mail with a POP, asking for receipt of the funds and that my NaTIS document be couriered to me as I cannot collect due to Covid. I called three times to the number supp**** on the settlement letter and neither one of the *********** staff could actually tell me if this has been settled. I was advised Wesbank do not ever contact clients to say “Thanks for paying us, your account is settled” or “Your documents are on the way”? As a client who has used Wesbank 3 times to finance vehicles and has a bond, a current account and Credit Card with FNB, I am reassessing whether to keep my accounts with FNB at all. I have never missed a car, bond or credit card payment deadline, they should be trying to keep me as a client, but their staff have gone out of their way to make sure I choose someone else to bank with. In todays times where service is what makes people stay with companies, I cant see too many people staying with this financial institution. I am truly saddened to be doing this, people should be seeing and hearing positive stories in this time of struggle but Wesbank will now see the worst of me. Shame on you Wesbank, Im just grateful I had the money to cut my ties with them
