Rigid unfair policies

After many years of diligently paying my creditors to get out of Debt Review - which I have successfully managed with difficulty - I app**** to Wesbank for vehicle financing to which they rep**** that they could not assist citing previous irreconcilable differences!! I find this unbelievable as the NCR and my other creditors have found me perfectly creditworthy. Getting out of Debt Review has taken enormous commitment and dedication and after all that to be told it's due to \previous irreconcilable differences"is laughable if it wasn't so painful! Is this even legal to discriminate against me after proving my commitment to paying my dues?! I submitted ALL required documentation and worked through an agent of MFI"

Hello dasheight,

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention and affording us the opportunity to address same comprehensively.

The Debt Review process, like any legal proceedings, has far reaching implications which must be taken into account before further lending is considered. A creditor who is affected by same will understandably err on the side of caution because the applicant needs to restore their financial position, where sufficient time must lapse before a consumer is rendered to be truly rehabilitated. Historical default on a contractual agreement cannot be unilaterally disregarded when a credit reference is a prerequisite in terms of the National Credit Act.

The Bank is not acting with prejudice however your application is declined in lieu of the details stated above.

We trust that this is in order and assure you of our best intentions at all times.

Yours faithfully,

WesBank
