RETRENCHMENT/REPOSSESSION

I was retrenched in September and tried to make contact several times to make another payment arrangement with regards to my car finance. I even sent mails and had response saying the info was forwarded onto the relevant contact people and they would be in touch, but nothing...... only to receive a court summons..... I understand that my account is in major arrears but I have as of the 09th of February started at a reputable company who is part of a very well known international group and am able to carry on with monthly payments but have been told that if I cannot pay the lump sum my car will be taken..... What kind of mentality is this???? I am and external sales rep and need my car to keep my job... VERY DISSAPPOINTED!!!!!!
