Refuse to cancel deal of bad car
Westbank and Cubbi Dealership priorise the dealer relationship than that of a client.
A car financed by westbank was collected at the Cubbi dealer woodmead on the 28 May 2025, by the 2 June 2025 the car was towed back to the dealer. the issue was tempoary fixed, around mid June 2025, the car broke down and it was towed back to the dealer to get fix. the spend a week and half with the dealer. The car came back and it broke down again in july 2025. the bank was alerted of the issue but the dealer and the bank they insisted the car should be fixed with extended warranty knowing it is going to cost them a lot of money. they were taking away their responsibility. dealer refused to give the diagnostic report. the is broken again in August 2025 and it was personally taken to another workshop where they qouted estimated amount of R90 000 with chances of engine replacement needed which they estimated at around R170 000.
We wanted a cancellation but Norman who dealing with the case said in is own words that he cares more about the relationship between the wesbank and the dealer despited telling them to cancel the deal. in other words, he doesnt care whether we loosing money by paying a car that is not moving while we renting a car to move around.
car history shows that it was financed by wesbank 7 months ago and it was returned to the dealer within 3 months before we took it over. surely this car have problem.
Wesbank is taking advantage of new buyer infringing their rights by protecting personal relationship/friendship of employees.
