Recurring Faults on Recently Purchased Vehicle – Still No Resolution
I am disappointed by the lack of assistance and communication from WesBank regarding a vehicle that has experienced multiple faults shortly after purchase.
After taking delivery of the vehicle, I encountered several serious issues, including brake concerns, transmission problems, and engine warning lights. The vehicle was returned to the dealership for repairs, and I was informed that the issues had been resolved. I was further advised that the vehicle had been tested and found to be in a satisfactory condition.
I subsequently collected the vehicle and returned the courtesy vehicle. However, after driving the vehicle for approximately 140km, the engine service warning light reappeared on 3 June 2026. I immediately informed WesBank and provided evidence of the fault.
My concern is that the dealership and WesBank previously re**** on a limited testing period to conclude that the vehicle was fully repaired. The reappearance of the engine service warning light so soon after the vehicle was returned to me raises serious concerns about whether the underlying faults were properly diagnosed and repaired.
Since reporting the recurrence of the fault, I have been following up regularly with WesBank but have received little to no meaningful feedback regarding the way forward. As a paying customer, I find it unacceptable that I am left chasing updates while being expected to continue with a finance agreement on a vehicle whose reliability remains in question.
I have made every effort to cooperate, including returning the vehicle for repairs and allowing the dealership an opportunity to rectify the issues. Unfortunately, the recurring faults and lack of communication have eroded my confidence in both the vehicle and the manner in which this matter is being handled.
I am requesting urgent intervention, a clear resolution plan, and accountability from all parties involved. Consumers should not be expected to accept recurring faults on a recently purchased vehicle without decisive action being taken.
I hope WesBank will engage meaningfully and assist in bringing this matter to a fair and satisfactory conclusion.
