R15000 legal fees for R3000 arrears

I went onto debt review, but withdrew almost immediately, but Wesbank restructured my account already. I stuck to the new installment as best possible and at times in advance. Suddenly last year when my account went into arrears, I don't receive my sms statements anymore. I phoned numerous times - only 1 person dealing with my account and I gave up trying. I had extreme bad months in April and May this year and tried again to contact my account controller, left messages etc. I received sms's from a Zuki to phone her - impossible. In June I started to catch up with the arrears and in September received text messages from a debt collector to repossess my vehicle. I received from him the name of my account controller, and after 3 days of trying made contact with her. She mailed me a statement indicating that my account was R9200 in arrears - more than R6500 was legal fees since June 2015 - 300% the arrears amount. I paid the R9200 plus my installment for October. Two weeks ago I received a call from a different debt collector that I'm R8600 in arrears. I argued and received statement - R8600 more legal fees. only because vehicle worth more than I owe on it???? No risk in repossessing?
