Pathetic

I am digusted by wesbank a division of fnb.

I bought a hilux and settled the value and wesbank charged me an early settlement fee on the value. R7000 and odd was the early settlment fee as the vehicle was considered a large amount!

the contract states the following;

9. Early settlement of the Agreement
9.1. If this Agreement is a small or intermediate agreement you may settle
this Agreement in full at any time, with or without notice, by paying the
settlement value owed to us. The settlement value will be calculated as follows:
9.1.1. the unpaid balance of the Principal Debt; and
9.1.2. the unpaid interest and all other fees and charges payable by you to us
until the settlement date.
9.2. If this is a large agreement, you may settle this Agreement in full at any
time, with or without notice, by paying the settlement value owed to us. In such
event, the settlement value will be calculated as follows:
9.2.1. the amounts referred to in clause 9.1. above; and
9.2.2. an early termination charge which may be prescribed from time to time,
or if no charge has been prescribed, a charge equal to no more than the
interest that would have been payable under the Agreement for a period equal
to the difference between 3 (three) months and the period of the notice of
settlement if any, that was given by you.

No where in the above does it state the amount of what they consider a LARGE amount! This I found out when I settled the vehicle was any vehicle that is 250 000 and up!!!!

this is rediculious as the bank can decide for each different car sale agreement what a large amount is. Esp since the settlement due was no where near R250 000.

The amount owed was way below the R250k defined by Wesbank! How is this justified!!!!!!!

Who give notice when they are going to sell a car this is just pathetic!
