outstanding amount

My account was in arrears with Wesbank - according to the statement - i paid the amount what was stated on the statement - then they say there was a R 12-00 in arrears amount now they want to charge me R 489 for the outstanding amount of R 12-00 - i do not think it is fair and this is really ridiculous - i have been phoning them for the last month and still they do not bother to come back to me i have several mails that i have send and still no reply

Just a few points to clarify

We have paid the account on the 30th payment received on the 30th and we short paid an amount of R 12-00 and because of shortpaying the account was in arrears again according to you. when I started to phoned from the 30th they told me they could sort this R480 arrears that was added onto the account because of the R 12-00 that was short paid if somebody had told me that we had short paid R 12-00 we would've paid it in to not get the amount of nearly R 500 for collection charges. When I phoned I had spoken to a Jade I think and he said my account is up to date the next - there are recordings made so they can listen to it and even when I phoned Wesbank they confirmed that the account is up to date and a Frans from Wesbank told me about the R 12-00 that I short paid and that threw us in arrears again

I phoned the whole month and send emails to try and sort this cause I feel it is really ridiculous to pay an amount of nearly R 500 for an amount of R 12 that was short paid - the statement shows that the money was received on the 30th. Only when I phoned again last week and spoke to the lady from Wesbank she phoned me back and explained because my account was in arrears they have added the costs to the account. A cost of nearly R 500-00 for the amount of R 12-00 that was short paid and it stated on my statement that is the account that we are in arrears and that is the amount that we had to pay and the extra money that we paid the account was for the collection charges and the amount that was in arrears

There was an amount outstanding and that is why we have paid it with the instalment to settle the arrears.

We had to send the proof of payment through to these people I would've received an mail to confirm about the arrangement I made but up to date I have not received anything.

we think it is really ridiculous to pay an amount of nearly R 500 for an amount of R 12-00 that was short paid - the arrears included the charges the collection company ask
