Open Letter for *******ion and ***** to customers at WESBANK

I Pule Lucas Marota, Purchased a Polo Vivo Trend line 1.6 with (McCarthy Finance product of WesBank) at Silver oaks in the year 2014 and financed by Wesbank. I have been paying since the year 2014 until now. Wesbank is not making deduction anymore I am the one who is paying directly to my account. However I skipped 1 month in 2018 and I have notified the bank that I will pay more to recover the amount in arrears, of which is I am doing every time when I run through financial difficulties. In 2018 I keep on receiving calls that they want to repossess my car for not paying the amount in arrears. On my side I am the one who is communicating with the bank to pay the amount in arrears, I also went to Wesbank in menlyn to make arrangement to pay and they put me on the phone with Thabiso mokoena and he refused. Each and every month I pay, But in the middle of the month they add charges like interest, Instalment, VAD and Legal charges, Adding more months on the contract without any communication and Increasing my instalment without communication, And they increase the amount in arrears for me to be difficult to pay and start repossessing my car. The legitimation department or the person who is accountable for my account is aware that I am finishing to pay for my contract that is why is refusing me to settle my arrears even thou mistake was made by them. No one at this pointing time is paying R4000.00 as an instalment for Polo vivo 1.6 (pre-owned) .I am not running away, I always take full responsibility for my debts. When signing the contract I have provided all my details my address contact numbers and it shows transparency as a customer. Wesbank employees (Legitimation dept.) in particular, works hand in hand with car dealerships, They repossess your car knowing that they have someone to buy it with higher amount especially when you are close to finish the contract with them. Case of -Adding interest in the middle of the month without communicating with the account holder while I pay every month and I know is included on the principal amount when signing the contract. -Adding Instalment to increase the amount in arrears without communicating with the account holder while I pay every month. -Adding VAD amount since 2016 without communicating with the account holder while I pay every month. (And no one communicated with me to explain what that amount is for) -Adding Legal charges without communicating with the account holder while I pay every month. -Adding more months without communication. -Increasing my Instalment without communication. -Harassment -Refusal to meet me halfway to pay for my account or arrange payment. IF Wesbank doesn’t want me to pay for this contract or came to the conclusion to cancel the contract, Then all the money paid to this account since 2014 must be paid back to my account including the once they overcharging me.According to the law I have to skip 3 month in order for Bank to start with legal proceedings. I have all the documents to proof that I am paying and in most cases I pay more. All I get from Thabiso Mokoena from Wesbank is harassment, threats, accusation of ****** car (even if I have a written contract) and refusal to pay my account to be up to date. All I need is answer and the solution to this contract and my contract must be given to someone else not Thabiso mokoena who deals with my account currently. I want the CEO of Wesbank (Mr de Kock), Declan Jones (Chief Operating officer), Also the banking Association of South Africa (Banking Ombudsman), The National Credit Regulator and media houses must be aware of this situation and also that the rights of the consumers are not taken care off and are badly treated and abused by bank employees to benefit their pocket. If I don’t have any positive respond by Tuesday this will be published on every media and it will be taken to Hellopeter, NCR and Bank Ombudman

Regards Mr PL Marota **********
