Old debt

Good day. I am in the process of buying a house. Only to find that there is bad debt with Wesbank since 2006. I have never been made aware of this to my knowledge and further I have purchased vehicles since with no mention of this. I was aware of the fact that I had fallen behind on my payment however this was rectified and the car was settled after an accident. I have tried for the entire day to get through to someone who can tell me what this is and how much I owe as well as proof of this amount. I think Wesbanks behaviour in this matter has been ********* and I was under the impression that bad debt could only be held against you for 7 years. Please will someone help me. Furthermore Simone August who has this information should never work with the public because she refuses to take my calls and drops the line on me.
