No discount on settlement quote
I have been a Wesbank customer for the past 9 years. I have paid off my first car without any issues. I even settled it early. I called Wesbank regarding the early settlement of my second vehicle. I was given the settlement lettert g and requested a revised/discounted settlement. I was informed that option was not available. As a long good standing client, I was told that just because people pay well doesn't mean they should get a discount. To which I responded that, bad debtors are offered discounts on overdue loan repayments but but there is no incentive at all for good debtors.
I guess this is where my relationship ends with Wesbank. It cannot be that a client who has been consistent with payments for 9 years cannot even be considered for a discount while someone who defaults in their account and even gets their car repossessed can qualify for a discount.
Basically, bad debtors are compensated at the expense of the good debtors.

It is common practice that businesses reward good clients, e.g. banks, insurance, etc. Especially long standing clients with proven track record with that one company.
It is abundantly clear that Wesbank would rather offer a defaulting client a discount than a client with a well demonstrated good track record of good payment.
It was my intention to settle my vehicle and purchase another with vehicle finance. I will still settle it on the quoted date but, I will definitely not be using Wesbank going foward.
