NO compassion during Pandemic

My Husband fell behind on his car payments due to us being placed on No Work, no pay due to us being in the hospitality industry. I can appreciate the fact that I'm sure Wesbank has lost a great deal of income during this period with many people not paying instalments. However, my husband was now luckily to be offered a better job during lock-down and have the opportunity to receive a full, better salary. Wesbank contacts him with regards to the outstanding balance of 5 months. He offers to pay his instalment double for the next 5 months in order to be current on is account. He gets told that it is not acceptable and that Wesbank will reposes the car if the full arrears is not settled by THIS Friday! Is there no compassion and understanding during these times? We have had a rough 5 months, as many other South Africans have experienced, yet we have been fortunate to receive a salary at the end of all the chaos, yet Wesbank would rather repo a car and take away our chance of finding our feet and actually repaying our car! Our hands are tied!!!!!!!
