NEVER FINANCE ANYTHING WITH WESBANK

I wish I could go back in time and stop myself from financing my vehicle with WesBank.

My car has been paid off for almost two years, and yet, Wesbank have not closed my vehicle finance account. This means I cannot sell my car, because the account is still open. I have been trying to sort this out for months. The feedback that I get from Wesbank: the account is closed, we promise. The feedback from the buyer: the account isn’t closed, look here is the proof.

Wesbank are not only unable to do their own jobs but effectively, but they also seem to be more than happy to lie about having done their jobs in the first place.

I have tried, endlessly, to settle this issue with them, with no result. It’s my car, I literally paid for it and I literally owe Wesbank nothing, and yet I’m at the mercy of when THEY decide to close my finance account.

Again, like I said, the vehicle has been paid for almost two years.

They’re too interested in “escalating the problem”, than actually solving the problem. I don’t know if it’s spite, incompetence, or both. But I hope I can spare someone the frustration and agony that I have had to endure by writing this review.

I don’t like writing reviews like these, but Wesbank, you have crossed a line and you have pushed me too far. I hope I never have to deal with you ever again. You are shameful, you are an absolute disgrace!

I've just had feedback from your team, telling me the same story you have kept telling me, clearly not acknowledging the problem that I have, and ignoring the urgency that I'm dealing with.

Let me tell you what the problem is, again:

When I try to sell my car to WeBuyCars, they can see that my Wesbank vehicle finance account is open, and refuse to pay for the car.

Here is what the solution looks like:

WeBuyCars call me, tell me they are on their way to come and collect my car and pay me, because Wesbank did their job by closing my account.

Stop trying to convince me the account is closed.

I have proven to you, repeatedly, that it is not closed. How hard is this? Why can't you do this for me? I have paid you, I have begged you to help me.

What is it going to take for you to do your actual job?
