Hello Zunaid.Aly,

Thank you for bringing your observations to our attention and affording us the opportunity to address this issue comprehensively.

According to our records, this Dealer product was cancelled on 1 June 2014 after you advised our agent that the vehicle was written off. The agent expressly enquired whether the vehicle was merely damaged and you confirmed that your insurer had rendered the vehicle a write off and that a payment of R66 715.00 would be made accordingly in a conversation dated 27 February 2014. Your insurer further confirmed that you received a payout amount to R78, 845.00 on 2 April 2015 as you had opted to retain possession of the salvaged wreck. Furthermore and unbeknownst to the Bank, you further confirmed that the vehicle no longer had comprehensive insurance as a result of the civil arrangement.

This type of arrangement is in conflict with the terms of the policy and therefore the same is null and void and was duly terminated. Direct contact was made to relay this information under separate cover.

We trust that this is in order and assure you of our best intentions at all times.

Yours faithfully,

WesBank
