Misrepresentation of purchase agreement variations _ Attempt to unilaterally change debit order date. and terms of the original purchase agreement

I received some correspondence dated 5 December 2023 from Wesbank indicating that the document being sent was "the variation agreement records the revised payment authorisation and collection date change, which the parties agreed to. Please note that this Variation Agreement is an addendum to your original INSTALMENT SALE Agreement (Quotation & Pre-Agreement Statement, Terms and Conditions entered-into on 05 December 2023)".

I did not enter or agree to any variation of the original purchase agreement on the 5th of December 2023 or at any other time. This letter therefore misrepresents facts that I agreed to its contents when I did not. The letter states that I have agreed to: 1. Wesbank debiting me the instalment on the 5th December 2023 or any date after this date. This is not true, I agreed to the instalment being debited on my salary pay day (27th of each month) when I signed the original purchase agreement. 2. Wesbank will debit up to a maximum R12092.07, this is incorrect, Wesbank must debit the instalment which is agreed to in the purchase agreement. 3. My bank to track my account and debit my account up to 10 days before the due date of the instalment. I did not agree to this, debit orders must be process on the 27th of each month when I receive my salary.

It is very disturbing that Wesbank will make a variation to the original agreement and misrepresent facts incorrectly stating that I agreed to these changes on the 5th of December 2023 when they did not even contact me regarding the purported changes. I did not agree to these variations. I do not even understand what the motivation is for proposing these variations in the first place.

Can I please get some clarity if this letter is really from WesBank and if it is why is it containing misrepresentations that I agreed to the contents when I did not?
